Tokyo, Japan
The Japanese have a rich history. They have also had some amazing artists that have inspired me and intrigued me. I would love to see some of the locations Hokusai drew his inspiration from. I've always wanted to visit Japan, however this is not what I envisioned in my head, but I was drawn to this photograph because of its high contrast and the gaze of the man in front. I can feel the snow and cold. The photograph gives a sense of movement in the falling snow.
Oahu, Hawaii
I can just envision myself relaxing and enjoying the sunset on any part of Hawaii. When I look at this photograph I can smell the fresh, ocean air and I can hear the waves crashing. One day I would like to visit Hawaii and try and surf. I like the balance in this photograph. I do not normally like the horizon or where the water meets the sky, to be in the middle of the photograph, it normally creates a static image. But with the crashing wave, that static balance is brought into imbalance, helping to create a sense of movement. The colors in the image are complimentary, with the yellow-orange sky and the blue-green water.
Australia
Scuba Dive
I've always wanted to go scuba diving and swim amongst the sea life. This photograph allows me to see myself doing this one day. The fish frame the diver in what could be a surreal moment. thousand of little silver fish, swimming in unison to avoid the diver. The photo definitely conveys the sense of movement in the diver and the fish. There is also an emphasis in the bright colors the diver is wearing against the blue background.
New Orleans, Louisianna
I've been to New Orleans twice and I can't wait till I go back. It is a town full of life and vibrancy.
